The village of Gedebin in Southern Ethiopia relies on the waters of the Gutity River for coffee cultivation. Around 2,400 smallholder farms grow coffee in their backyards and deliver their harvests to the Gutity washing station.
Coffee from this region is predominantly organic, with landrace varieties that have naturally adapted to the environment, creating organic fertilizers and natural pest control.
The collaboration of these smallholder farms results in a coffee with vibrant acidity and dense, complex fruit—traits that make it ideal for filter coffee.
We source this coffee through our network, a proud member of the Ethiopian Chapter of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance.
