Farmers in this small region are encouraged to intercrop their coffee with banana, maize, as well as Grevillea and Macadamia trees, which provide shade and help improve soil health. Through a central fund from the previous year's harvest, cooperative members have access to pre-financing for farm inputs, school fees, and other investments. Members benefit from easy access to agricultural inputs, Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) seminars, and sustainable farming education. The overarching goal is to enhance production and quality, ultimately ensuring higher incomes for the members.

The blend of SL28, Ruiru 11, and Batian varietals produces a cup with bright acidity, a full body, and rich fruity notes. Common tasting notes include citrus, berry, and tropical fruits, resulting in a well-balanced and unforgettable coffee experience.

The region of Embu is located in the South Eastern foothills of Mount Kenya, the highest mountain in the country and second highest in Africa after Kilimanjaro. The extinct volcano forms the backdrop for much of the surrounding country, as well as contributing to the soil fertility and cool air which allows Kenyan coffees to develop such excellence in the cup.
